For over twenty years, I have worked as a special education teacher, supporting students with diverse learning, emotional, and developmental needs. Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience as a parent, which profoundly shapes the way I show up for families, with humility, empathy, and deep respect for how complex and emotional this journey can be.

I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children, adolescents, and families navigating emotional regulation challenges, anxiety, trauma, and complex behavioral presentations, including ADHD, autism, demand-avoidant profiles (such as Pathological Demand Avoidance), and related social-emotional differences. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed, guided by curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each child’s unique way of experiencing the world.

I meet children where they are, drawing on experience, mindfulness, and a strengths-based approach to support behaviors such as emotional dysregulation, anxiety, sensory overwhelm, and a strong need for autonomy. I approach these moments with warmth and always seeking to understand the meaning behind behavior and support growth in ways that feel safe and respectful.

I also support children and adolescents who are exploring questions related to identity, self-understanding, and belonging, including youth who identify as LGBTQ+ or are questioning. I work collaboratively with families and schools, advocating for environments that are affirming, inclusive, and responsive to each child’s needs, while prioritizing emotional safety, open communication, and respect for each child’s lived experience.

Above all, I strive to create environments where children feel seen, heard, and valued. My approach is gentle yet intentional, collaborative, and centered on preserving dignity. It is a privilege to walk alongside families as they navigate challenges, celebrate growth, and build lives rooted in connection, confidence, and compassion.
